The five abducted staff of the Borno State Ministry of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement (RRR) have regained freedom.
The five abductees were taken by suspected members of ISWAP last month while travelling to the northern part of Borno State on official engagement.
The five abductees were said to have been released in response to pleas.
A video trended two weeks ago showing the abductees pleading to the Borno State government to come to their aid.
ISWAP had issued a warning to Nigerians to desist working for INGO, or they risk being abducted and killed.

A confirmed source says, the release is coming after a non-governmental organization known to be trusted by the insurgents intervened.
The NGO is known to have facilitated the release of many abductees who were kidnapped by the insurgents.
The insurgents had in August executed five persons comprising security personnel and staffers of some INGOs.
It is not clear if any ransom was paid for the release.
