The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA says only five airports will be open for operations come June 21, 2020 as the country gradually opens the airspace for domestic flight operations.
NCAA Director-General, Musa Nuhu who made this known in a letter to accountable managers of all domestic and foreign airlines says the airports are Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos, Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Omagwa International Airport Port Harcourt and the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport Owerri.
The DG stated that other airports will be added gradually after a review and assessment, adding that all flights to any of the airports outside the 5 approved to open shall comply with the existing Covid-19 protocols for approvals.

Nuhu stressed that the closure of Nigerian airports to international flights still stands until a date of resumption of flights is announced.
The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 had on Monday at its briefing announced the gradual resumption of domestic flights from June 21, 2020.
