Five more students of the Bethel Baptist High School in Chikun LGA of Kaduna State, North-West No along with their matron have regained their freedom from the den of bandits after 94 days.
The Nigerian Baptist Convention President Dr. Israel Akanji, confirmed this to journalists in an SMS on Friday.
The message was captioned “Breaking News: Glory be to God. Five of our Bethel Baptist High School students and the Matron (making six) have just been released to us this evening, October 8.
“We thank God and trust that the remaining four students will also be released. Thank you for your prayers and support.”
This is now the fifth batch of students released by the bandits since their abduction on July 5.

On Sunday, September 26, the Kaduna State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Reverend Joseph Hayap confirmed to ait.live that 10 students of Bethel Baptist School in Kaduna State were released.
So far, a total of 115 students and their matron have been released, while 4 are still held captive by the bandits according to the Nigeria Baptist Convention President.
