Health officials in Enugu State, South East Nigeria have confirmed a suspected case of Coronavirus in the capital city.
The Enugu State Government in a short statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Ifeanyi Agujiobi notes that the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC has been informed of the case and relevant samples from the patient collected and sent for investigations.
The government statement further disclosed that the patient has been isolated in its facility and is being monitored.

AIT gathered from sources at the Enugu State University of Technology, ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane Enugu where the patient was first presented that the 70-year old grand mother had recently returned from the United Kingdom.
The patient whose identity was not disclosed was said to have symptoms of cold, cough and respiratory disorder when she was brought to the hospital but medical experts and NCDC officials were on hand to move her to the isolation facility.

Already, the NCDC says the result of the test conducted on the patient in Enugu is expected on Monday.
