Six students and two staff of the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Zaria in Kaduna State, North-West Nigeria have regained freedom about 4 weeks after their abduction.
The students and staff were abducted from the school on Thursday, June 11, 2021, and were taken to an undisclosed location.

Public Relations Officer of the institution, Abdullahi Shehu said the victims were released after series of negotiations between the parents of the abductees and their abductors.
However, he could not confirm whether ransom was paid or not to secure their safe release,
