Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has called on business owners and residents to obey the Supreme Court’s judgment that extended the validity of the old N500 and N1,000 notes till December 31, 2023.
The Governor made this call when he led the PDP State House of Assembly candidates to the Secretariat of the State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW; Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN and the Edo Tipper Drivers Association in Benin City.

Given the postponement of the Governorship and State Houses of Assemblies elections by one week, campaigns have continued in earnest in Edo State.

From there, the entourage proceeded to the office of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, RTEAN. Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu was on hand to appeal for the support of the body for PDP candidates. The Edo Tipper Drivers Association was the last place visited by the campaign team.

Chairman of the Association, Austin Uhunmwango lauded the transformation drive of them Obaseki -led administration, assuring that the organisation will show their gratitude by voting for the PDP.
The party’s candidates promised to live up to expectations once elected.
