FG re-opens section of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, delivers project in 2022

Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Motorists plying into Lagos State from the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will have a sigh of relief starting Sunday morning as the Federal Government is set to re-open the Kara Bridge section of the road to traffic.

This is sequel to the completion of the reconstruction work on the 600-metre stretch of the bridge which had brought untold hardships for road users.

Addressing newsmen in Lagos on Saturday, the Federal Comptroller of Works in Lagos State, Adedamola Kuti said intense work will now continue at the Magboro-Mowe-Ibafo section of the Expressway.

He assured motorists and other road users that the Federal Government is committed to delivering the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway project in 2022.

Adedamola said 31 kilometres of the road project have been completed out of the 43-kilometre on section one which spans from Ojota in Lagos to the Sagamu interchange.

He thanked Nigerians for their support during the construction of the Kara to Berger section of the road which takes heavy traffic.

He later solicited for support from Nigerians on the project and others across the country.
