Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Boboye Oyeyemi, has ordered the immediate impoundment of any flatbed trailers carrying containers without proper latching sighted on the roads by patrol teams.
In a statement by the Corps Public Education Officer, Bisi Kazeem, the move is geared towards reducing incidents of road crashes caused by trailers.

Oyeyemi also said that the Corps will partner with the Nigerian Ports Authority to ensure that such vehicles are not allowed to leave the ports until they are properly latched to enhance their safety while on transit.
