In Ebonyi State, South-East Nigeria, some churches with their congregation stepped out on the streets and major roads of Abakaliki, the state capital, on Sunday morning, to celebrate Palm Sunday.
Worshippers at the St. Peter Presbyterian Church of God, Abakaliki Parish, were seen in procession around the popular Udensi Roundabout, waving palm leaves and singing.

It was a similar sight at the Waterworks and Ogoja Roads, where worshippers at the Trinity Methodist Cathedral, Abakaliki, demonstrated the Triumphant Entry of Christ Jesus into Jerusalem.

The Methodist Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, Bishop Lawson Elom, speaking on the mood of the nation urges citizens to toe the path of peace in a time like this.
