The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, says its forensic audit remains on course despite criticisms from a segment of people from the oil-rich region.
The NDDC Acting Executive Director Projects, Cairo Ojougboh, stated this during an inspection tour of some emergency road projects in Abia State, South-East Nigeria.

The tour of some emergency road projects in Abia State by the NDDC Projects Verification Committee is to ensure that contractors claims are in total compliance with the terms of agreement before payment are made.
Members of the Committee said they were not pleased with the emergency project work at Umuba-Umuekwule- Umuopara Road in Umuahia.
Ojougboh said the tour of sites has revealed knotty issues in project implementation, hence the need to pursue the forensic audit of the NDDC to its conclusion.
Other emergency road repairs inspected are the Amaba-Ugwueke Extension Road and Amaeze- Ugwueke Road both in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
