The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has suspended legislative activities for the next two weeks.
Speaker of the Assembly, Abraham Ingobere in a statement released Thursday to the media after a 2-hour meeting with some principal officers said that the move was in line with government’s efforts to contain the spread of the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic.
While calling on members of the public, to remain calm and adhere to laid down preventive guidelines, he said the Assembly is ready to provide any legislative assistance to help mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.

Ingobere advised people in the State to to be vigilant and report any suspected case to the relevant authorities for quick response.
