Edo State Government has given relief materials to the internally displaced persons, IDPs at the Uhogua Camp in Ovia North East Local Government Area of the State.
Governor Godwin Obaseki, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Julie Olatunji, noted that the donation was made to cushion the effect of the Coronavirus pandemic.
This is a critical time for Nigerians as the novel Coronavirus alters life as they know it.
States are either on total or partial lockdown in a bid to curtail the spread.

For those who have been displaced from their places of birth and homes as a result of the Boko Haram insurgency, it is double tragedy.
They need the support of Government now more than ever before.
The Uhogua camp for Internally Displaced Persons in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State is home to thousands of IDPs.
To cushion the effect of the partial lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the State Government has donated food items to them.

Coordinator of the Camp, Solomon Folorunsho expresses appreciation to Obaseki for the gesture.
Items donated include; 200 bags of rice, 180 bags of garri, 1,500 tubers of yams, 25 bags of brown beans, 25 bags of white beans, 50 bags of corn flour, 20 gallons of 20-litres vegetables oil, 20 gallons of 25-litres palm oil, 10 cartons of seasonings and 20 bags of salt.
