This was the view of discussants at a one-day symposium organised by the young lawyers forum of the Nigeria Bar Association in Ikere Ekiti.

International financing was identified as one of the numerous opportunities for the federal government to explore in order to find a lasting solution to the infrastructure deficit in Nigeria.

Experts at the symposium called on the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to effectively and efficiently deploy the tool of international financing to solve the different levels of challenges confronting Nigeria.

Some of the experts who lamented the increasing poverty level and under-development in Nigeria, say there is an urgent need for the incoming administration to make deliberate moves in having competent representation, capable of attracting funds globally to tackle the challenges confronting the nation, thereby providing the roadmap to achieving targeted sustainable development goals.

The theme of the symposium is “nation building and international financing- A legal perspective”.
