President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Mrs Agnes Yemisi Asagbra as the new Director General of the National Biosafety Management Agency (NBMA).
Yemisi is taking over from Rufus Ebegba who served as the pioneer director general of the agency for the past eight years.

Addressing Newsmen at the handover event in Abuja, the new DG said her aim is to consolidate on the works of the former Director General and to take NBMA to a greater height.
The outgoing DG Rufus Ebegba who was appointed on May 28, 2015 by then president Goodluck Jonathan said he is leaving the agency fulfilled having put structures in place for the effective running of the agency.
Until her appointment as the DG of NBMA, Yemisi served as the acting Director General of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi, Lagos
