Two truck conveying 43 passengers have been intercepted in Jos, the Plateau State capital, North central Nigeria.
This occurred Thursday afternoon when personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, Peace Corps, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, and the Neighbourhood Watch were enforcing the Coronavirus lockdown order of the Plateau State Government.
The passengers who are mostly youths said they were coming from Lafia, Nasarawa State, before they were arrested.

Confirming the incident to AIT, the spokesman of the State Police Command, Gabriel Ubah said stiffer sanctions will be meted against violators of the directives put in place to mitigate the spread of the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
At the time of filing in this report, officers from the Anglo Jos Division of the Nigeria Police Force were at the scene and were seen conveying the intercepted travellers to one of the mobile courts deployed in the state to prosecute defaulters.
