The United States has committed 6 million dollars for flood victims in affected communities in Anambra and Bayelsa states.
The U.S. Charge d’ Affairs, David Greene, announced this in a video posted on the mission’s official Instagram handle on Sunday.

According to the envoy, the United States and other humanitarian partners have been building houses and restoring agricultural livelihoods in these states, which are the hardest hit.
He said the attack on the U.S. personnel and Nigeria police last week where seven people lost their lives was most unfortunate.
According to the envoy, the United States is working closely with Nigerian security agencies to make those responsible for the attack to face the law.
He said that despite the awful event, the United States remains committed to its partnership with Nigeria for the benefit of the people.
