About 268 Nigerians living in china have arrived Abuja, the Nation’s capital as the aircraft conveying them landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport around 2:25 pm on Saturday.
Spokesperson of the Nigerians in diaspora commission, Rasheed balogun who confrimed this to ait.live said the returnees will be proceeding on the 14-day compulsory isolation approved by the Nigeria center for disease control, NCDC.
It will be recalled that at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in China, many Nigerians in Wuhan called on the Federal government to evacuate them.
There were later reports of discriminatory maltreatment of Nigerians including other Africans in China that led to the intervention of the country’s embassy in Beijing with authorities also summoning the Chinese ambassador in Abuja to formally lodge a complaint about the disturbing incidents.
