Katsina State judiciary has concluded plans to begin virtual court proceedings on the eight of June 2020.
Governor Aminu Masari who stated this during the swearing in of new acting Grand Khadi of the state Muhammed Abubakar and the acting solicitor general and permanent secretary of the ministry of justice Ismail Danladi said, the essence is to the change ways of administering justice in the face of the current coronavirus pandemic.
Masari expressed satisfaction with the level of arrangement for the commencement of the virtual court urging relevant players in the judicial sector to see to the success of the project.
The governor also used the medium to commend the pioneer community conflict resolution centre put in place within the metropolis which has successfully resolved about 320 cases hence, the need to extend the centre to other communities.
Masari further tasked the new appointees to double their efforts so as to surpass or measure up to standard of their predecessors especially the former solicitor general Safiya Umar who is now a high court judge.

He therefore expressed the current administration’s commitment towards supporting the judiciary so that, it will continue to serve as the last hope of the common man.
