Vice President Kashim Shettima has decorated the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Wife of the Acting Inspector-General of Police, Mrs Egbetokun had joined the Vice President to decorate the new police chief.
The event was also witnessed by senior government officials, including the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume; Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma who is also the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum.

Others are the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; the National Security Adviser, NSA, Nuhu Ribadu and the outgoing Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba.
The acting IGP while speaking to state house correspondents promised to tackle the menace of insecurity and other internal aggressions.
President Bola Tinubu on Monday announced the immediate retirement of service chiefs including the former inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba.
