Police in Lagos have arrested two members of a syndicate for hacking the accounts of around a thousand bank customers.
Spokesperson for the state police command, Hauwa Idris-Adamu who made this known said the suspects were arrested at their hideout in Ijebu ode, Ogun state.
The police spokesperson also said the arrested persons who allegedly specialize in internet fraud, using the BVN-linked phone numbers of their victims and bank alerts, confessed to the crime
They also confessed to using software to hack into customers accounts to move their money undetected.
Idris-Adamu said investigation into the matter is ongoing and upon completion, the suspects will be arraigned in court.
