The Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, has called on Officers and men of the Nigerian Navy to turn the tide against maritime Criminals, saying sea robbers should either relocate from the Nigerian waterways or face the consequences.
The Naval chief stated this in Calabar during his first official visit to the Eastern Naval Command headquarters where he also met with the officers and men of the command.
Ogalla said Eastern waters is one of the strategic areas in the nation’s maritime domain, assuring that welfare of Officers and men will be given a priority.
He said Naval assets and equipment will also be given priority to enhance operational efficiency both on brown and blue water corridors.

This visit of the Chief of Naval Staff is the first to any naval formation since he was appointed CNS and his subsequent decoration as the Vice Admiral by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
