Nigeria records 11 Covid-19 deaths in last 24 hours

At least 11 people have died of Covid-19 in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the death toll now 789 since the country recorded its index case on February 27.

Data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC also shows that 18 states have reported 556 new Covid-19 infections bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 36,663.

The states with new Covid-19 infections include Edo-104; Lagos-97; FCT-70; Benue-66; Oyo-61; Kaduna-38 and Plateau-28. Others are Osun-19; Akwa Ibom-14; Rivers, Katsina and Ondo-13 each; Ogun-6; Kano-5; Nasarawa-4; Gombe and Ekiti-2; Borno-1

There are 167 Covid-19 patients discharged across Nigeria with the number of successfully treated cases now 15,105.
