Nigeria discharges about 500 Covid-19 patients in 24 hours

There are now 16,559 successfully treated Covid-19 cases in Nigeria. This follows the recovery and discharge of 498 patients in the last 24 hours nationwide.

The new figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC also show that 591 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in 17 states. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 39,539.

The new Covid-19 infections have been recorded in Oyo-191; Lagos-168; FCT-61; Ondo-29; Osun-26; Ebonyi-24; Edo-23; Ogun-14; Rivers-13; Akwa Ibom-12; Kaduna-10; Katsina-6; Borno-4; Ekiti, Delta and Imo-3 each; Niger-1.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has reported 12 new Covid-19 fatalities in the last 24 hours with the death toll rising to 845 deaths.
