With the expected shortfall in food production across Nigeria and the African continent due to the Coronavirus pandemic, agricultural scientists say the use of modern technologies to boost production is key.
This was the thrust of the discussions during the first virtual media summit organized by National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) on the actions to be taken combat post-COVID19 food crisis.

Improved seeds with tussle culture and hydroponics technologies among others were the methods suggested by these experts to enhance food productivity in view of imminent population growth and COVID19 impacts.
