The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Benin City the Edo state capital has affirmed the victory of Peter Akpatason, member representing Akoko Edo Federal constituency in the house of representatives and member of the All Progressives Congress APC.
The Three-man panel led by Justice Yusuf Ubale Mohammed dismissed the petition of the candidate of Labour Party, Omobayo Godwin for failing to establish or proof his claims that the election was inconclusive and marred by irregularities.
The panel unanimously dismissed the petitioner’s petition for lack of merit.
