The judgement of the National and State Assembly Tribunal in Nasarawa State which nullified the election of a former spokesperson of the Coalition of United Political Parties, Ikenga Imo-Ugochinyere has been described as a decision that will test the intergrity of the judiciary.

Secretary General of the CUPP) and Board of Trustees member of the Labour Party, Peter Ameh who said this when he paid a solidarity visit to Ugochinyere at the National Assembly said opposition parties in the country were shocked by the tribunal judgment which was based on intra-party issue already resolved by a court of competent jurisdiction.

A delegation from the House of Representatives, and Imo State based human right activist, Chukwunonso Uba who also visited Ugochinyere, joined Peter Ameh in condemning the use of a pre election matter by the Justice Akpovi led election tribunal to nullify the election of Ugochinyere asking the country’s judiciary not to succumb to what he described as intimidation by desperate politicians
