Bauchi Governor donates his salary for security operations in his hometown

Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed donates motorcycles bought with his salary to vigilante members in his hometown

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has again warned traditional rulers compromising the security situation in their respective communities to stop or face the full wrath of the law.

The Governor gave the warning when he paid a sympathy visit to the rescued victims who were earlier abducted in his home town of Yelwan Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government Area.

The over 37 rescued victims were abducted on their way back home after attending the Mararraban Liman Katagum Market on the outskirts of Bauchi metropolis.

Governor Mohammed appreciated the efforts of security agencies as well as the local vigilante groups in rescuing the victims unhurt promising to continue to support them in both cash and logistics.

He subsequently donated his monthly salary to be used to fund efforts to restore security of lives and property in the area.

While revealing some of the measures his administration is putting in place to address the new security challenge, the Governor warned that anyone found involved in sabotaging the security situation of the state would be dealt with decisively no matter how highly placed.

On his part, the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Auwal Mohammed commended the Governor for always supporting the security agents in the state promising to address the security challenges facing the people.
