VP Shettima launches Digital Programme for 2m youths on Sept. 29

The Federal Government has concluded arrangements to commence an initiative that will impact two million youths and one million Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs across the country.

The initiative, tagged “FGN-ALAT Digital Skill-Novation Programme” is in partnership with a new generation bank operating in Nigeria.

Vice President Kashim Shettima who just returned from Cuba where he participated in the G77+China Leaders’ Summit, received an update report on the programme on Monday during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the bank to the Presidential Villa Abuja.

Speaking on the support and commitment of the bank in the execution of the initiative, the Vice President assured the visitors of the government’s desire to meet its obligations to the project.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, Temitola Adekunle-Johnson emphasised the significance of collaboration, calling on all hands to be on deck to achieve the “Renewed Hope” agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

Vice President Shettima is expected to formally launch the FGN-ALAT Digital Skill-Novation Programme on September 29 at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja.
