Nigeria’s Minister of foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has recovered and resumed work, three weeks after he announced he had contracted the corona virus.
In a message he put on his verified tweeter handle, Onyeama thanked his family, President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice – President Yemi Osinbajo, his medical team, relations, friends, colleagues, religious leaders for supporting him during the “trying time”
He said he pulled through with their care, prayers, fasting, messages of support and encouragement.

Onyeama who is a member of the Presidential Taskforve on COVID-19, is the first minister to test positive to to Corona virus.
He is however the second member of the cabinet, following the test, and eventual death from COVID+19 complications of his close friend, and Buhari’s erstwhile Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.
