Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has changed the life of Hauwa’u Hallilu, a woman displaced by bandits who also featured in a viral video.
A statement by the governor’s spokesman, Sulaiman Idris, said the governor hosted the displaced woman as a demonstration of his unwavering dedication to safeguarding the lives and welfare of all citizens in Zamfara,adding that the plight of the woman highlights the urgent need to address the root causes of displacement and ensure families have access to necessities.

Governor Lawal provided the displaced woman a roof over her head with and directed that her children are immediately enrolled in school full scholarship.
The governor promised to provide her family with sufficient food and other necessities to enable her rebuild her life with dignity and security.
Governor Lawal also urged relevant authorities to intensify efforts to identify vulnerable families facing similar challenges and provide them with necessary support.
The viral video showed a mother and her children, displaced by bandits, who were forced to eat grass to survive.
