Over 40,000 Covid-19 patients so far discharged in Nigeria

The number of successfully treated Covid-19 cases in Nigeria is now 40,281 following the discharge of 317 patients in the last 24 hours.

This is the second consecutive day that Nigeria will be discharging more Covid-19 patients than the number of new cases recorded in the country which is 221 in 20 states.

The 221 new Covid-19 infections reported across the country bring the ototal number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 53,021.

The states with new Covid-19 infections include Plateau-60; FCT-33; Kaduna-26; Rivers-18; Lagos-17; Enugu, Kwara and Ondo-9 each. Other are Nasarawa-6; Gombe and Anambra-5 each; Delta and Abia-4 each; Imo-3; Edo Ogun, Oyo and Osun-2 each; Bauchi and Kano-1 each.

There are 3 more persons who died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll rising to 1,010.
