The Gombe State Government has embarked on a massive reform of the structure of its Civil Service and the Tsangaya nomadic education in the State.
This was as the State Governor Inuwa Yahaya set up the Bureau for Civil Service Reforms to oversee the exercise.
The Bureau is made up of two separate committees; the State Reforms Council and the State Steering Committee on Public Service Reforms.

The State government is however working closely with the National Board for Arabic and Islamic studies to carrying out similar reforms in the education sector for alamajiri children.
For many, the move by the State government is timely and necessary to change the narrative about the structure of the civil service in Gombe State.
