Thousands of Plateau people came out from different locations to Protest the recent Court of Appeal Judgments that Nullified the Elections of PDP National Assembly Members from the state
The Protesters who blocked the Mararaban Jama’a Roundabout, which is the Major entrance and exit from the State Capital are calling on the National Judiciary Council to look into what they called a judicial coup.
Mararaban Jama’a Roundabout, which is the major entrance and exit from Jos, the Plateau state Capital, was blocked by thousands of protesters, causing gridlock and forcing a total halt of vehicular movement.
The protesters are against the nullification of the election of six national assembly members under the People’s Democratic Party by the Court of Appeal.

They alleged, that the recent judgments delivered by the Court of Appeal nullifying the elections of PDP National Assembly Members from Plateau are deliberate plans to truncate democracy and plunge the state into another round of crisis.
While calling on President Tinubu to save Plateau from another round of crisis, they also called on the National Judiciary Council to save Nigeria’s democracy.
At the old Airport Junction, where another protest was holding, the situation took another dimension, leading to a confrontation between the joint security operatives and the agitated youths.
