APC faction in Zamfara supports Gov Bello’s measures to stamp-out banditry

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, loyal to Senator Kabiru Marafa, have thrown their weight behind the administration of Governor Bello Mohammed and the measures being put in place to stamp out banditry in the state.

The factional chairman of the party, Surajo Maikatako, made this known shortly after an emergency meeting in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.

Senator Kabiru Marafa’s faction of the APC in Zamfara State distanced themselves from the call by a retired Warrant Officer of the Nigerian Army, who is also the Public Relations Officer of the party, for the sack of the governor’s security aides.

The party said this is not the right time to judge the government under the leadership of Governor Mohammed, as it is only one and half years in office.

It argues that the government should be given time like other previous administrations, before assessing its performance.

In another development, the retired Warrant Officer and Public Relations Officer of the APC faction loyal to Senator Marafa, Bello Soja, has, however, said he stands on his earlier position.

He admitted that the Mohammed led administration is doing well in the fight against insecurity, but there are gray areas which the government needs to improve upon.

Senator Marafa’s faction of the APC applauds the efforts of Governor Mohammed to attract the four unmanned combat Aerial Vehicles, to enhance the offensive against the recalcitrant bandits in Zamfara State.
