The Obong of Calabar, His Eminence Edidem Ekpo Okon Abasi Otu the fifth says despite the teething challenges faced in the Cross River State capital recently, his kingdom was in full unwavering support for Governor Ben Ayade and his administration.
The Obong made the declaration when the governor paid him a courtesy call at his Adiabo, Country home in Calabar.
The first class monarch while advising the governor to always share ideas on security and governance issues with the traditional rulers described him as his brother and friend for whom he played a bigger role for his re- election bid in 2019.
Governor Ayade while assuring Continuous peace and development in Efik Land thanked the Obong for his numerous fatherly advice and support for his administration, saying he would continue to hold the monarch in very high esteem.

Governor Ayade described the Obong of Calabar stool as one of the most eminent stools in Nigeria which his government will always respect, Preserve, and Protect.
