A-Pro-EndSARS group, Concerned Nigerians have forwarded a petition asking the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu to investigate and prosecute alleged sponsors of thugs who attacked protesters during the protest.

The convener of the group, Deji Adeyanju in a statement identified one Safar with social media contact @SAFARAMUADAM and a few other persons as sponsors of the hoodlums who disrupted the nationwide EndSARS protest which resulted in the loss of lives and property worth billions.

The group expressed dissatisfaction over the slow pace of investigation to bring those involved in the #EndSARS protest violence and killings to book weeks after the dastardly act was carried out.

The Pro-#EndSARS human Rights group said it attached evidence of Safar’s involvement in the recruitment of thugs for ease of reference and included pictures of one of the thugs who attacked Lagos protesters.

The group called on the IGP to uphold his oath of office and the Constitution by investigating and prosecuting Safar and other sponsors of the attacks on peaceful protesters.

It urged the IGP not to allow the matter sweet under the carpet.
