Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade has approved the commencement of scholarship programmes for the indigenous students in the state.
Speaking during the interaction with some students in her office, the Director-General of the State Scholarship Board, Nuela Tessy-Ayan, said preparation is in top gear to roll out the procedure as approved by the governor.
Nuela said the scholarship will be for qualified Cross River students from the eighteen local government areas who are in any tertiary institution in Nigeria.

Governor Ben Ayade had made the promise of a scholarship programme for indigenes during the #EndSARS protest recently.
The scholarship when fully commenced is expected to boost opportunities for qualified Cross River Students who wish to further their education in their various fields of studies.
