The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Shawulu Danmamman who presented the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the IGP noted that the gesture was extended for the welfare of families of the diseased to ameliorate the hardship they could be going through.

In a statement by the spokesman of the police, Deputy Superintendent Wasiu Abiodun, the CP added that the money might not be enough to cater for the families, but a token that would grow to sustain the families.

CP Danmamman further prayed to God to strengthen the families and fill the gap that the circumstances would have caused.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Joshua Shaaba appreciated the Police, most especially the IGP, the Commissioner of Police, and the Command, for their efforts towards speedy processing of the claims, promising to make judicious use of the money.
