Niger State Governor Umar Bago

Niger State Governor Umar Bago has revealed his administration’s commitment to establishing at least 10 state-owned universities in different fields of academic endeavours for sustainable development.

Bago said this when he was receiving a development group from the state.

He added that the essence is for the educational empowerment and job creation of the people of Niger State, and the country in general.

The governor, while stressing that his administration is ready to give education a facelift, said the measure is also aimed at changing the landscape of education in the state and giving priority in terms of admissions to Niger state indigenes.

Bago further urged companies working in the state to always engage in corporate social responsibility, to bring about acceptability and progress.

He described the companies’ efforts as unprecedented, adding that they have shown commitment to youth development within six months of the state government engaging them in the IBB Teaching Hospital and the Three-Arm-Zone projects.

While commending the visionary leadership of the governor, the leader of the group assured their commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable development, to align with the New Niger Agenda of the governor.
