As part of the ongoing war against drug abuse amongst Nigerians especially the youthful population at the grassroots, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has hinted on plans to establish offices across the 774 local government areas of the country.
The Chairman of the agency, Buba Marwa who was represented, disclosed this at a function in Ilorin the Kwara State capital while speaking on the efforts being put in place to further reduce drugs supply and demand across the country.

While calling for more assistance in the area of operational vehicles to enhance its fight against illicit drugs and substance at the various commands, the NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa maintained that to fight drug abuse effectively, offices would be established in all the 774 local government areas.
Other speakers at the function attributed the rising level of banditry and kidnapping to substance abuse calling for stiffer penalty for drug barons in the society.
The convener of the function who is also the NDLEA Commander in Kwara State however says the recently compiled books by the command will serve as guide for youths that are vulnerable to substance abuse.
