Edo State House of Assembly has called for an improvement in the services of the State Chapter of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, so residents can acquire their National Identity Number, NIN, without hassles.

This call was made when the Management of National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, appeared before the lawmakers at the Anthony Enahoro Assembly Complex in Benin City to explain why the people face difficulties in getting their NIN.

Members of the Edo State House of Assembly are not comfortable with what they described as the difficulties residents in the state face when trying to acquire the National Identity Number, NIN.

Accordingly, they have summoned the State Director of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, Efe Oki to the House to explain the reason behind the challenges and steps the Commission is taking to ease them.

Speaker, Blessing Agbebaku wants an improvement of their services across the state.

They concluded the day’s proceedings with an announcement of the passing of a former two time member of the Edo State House of Assembly Commission, Jonah Ifada.
