Governor Bala Mohammed has lamented that Bauchi State is being cheated in the comity of states, due to what he described as its high population and geographical size.
The Governor disclosed this during the official flag-off of over 70-kilometre road construction in Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, and Toro Local Government Areas.
The three local governments of Toro, Tafawa Balewa and Alkaleri in Bauchi State are identified as the ones with large geographical landscape and high population in the state.
However, these three local governments are said to lack some basic infrastructure and social amenities, especially roads, a development which Governor Mohammed attributes to injustice in the comity of states in the country, calling for justice for Bauchi State and its people.
Governor Bala Mohammed said more resources are needed for the state to compete favourably with developed states.
As the Governor embarks on massive road infrastructural projects across the three senatorial districts of the state, he has assured of his administration’s relentless commitment to take the state to greater heights of economic progress and prosperity.
