President Bola Tinubu has described the late Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu as a “fearless soldier” and “unwavering advocate” for his people.

Speaking during the funeral service in honour of the deceased at Saint Andrew’s Cathedral, Owo in Ondo State, the President who was represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima lauded Akeredolu’s “indomitable legacy of national service.”

In his sermon, Dean of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Blessing Enyindah, extolled the virtues of the late Akeredolu, noting that the deceased will be greatly missed based on the contributions he made to the lives of his family members, legal profession, the church, Ondo State and Nigeria at large

Most Reverend Enyindah reminded mankind of how fluid and short life could be, calling on Nigeria’s political leaders to be more concerned about impacting humanity instead of acquiring wealth at the expense of those they govern.

He appealed to President Tinubu to take steps to address the many challenges Nigerians are facing, saying citizens are looking up to the President for succor in line with his campaign promises.
