FG Validates Senior Secondary Education Plan

Nigeria now has a new National strategic plan for the senior secondary education, 2024 to 2027.

Minister Of Education, Tahir Mamman at the validation of the draft National minimum standards in Abuja, said government is concerned about the teaching outcomes in senior secondary education, which is the formative stage to acquiring tertiary education.

Both the Minister and the minister of state say the Focus must be on teaching quality, laboratory facilities availability and classroom organisation.

The National Commission for senior secondary education says the document specifies the standard benchmarks in various thematic areas in senior secondary education delivery.
