Some industrial Experts say nigerians should brace up for more difficult times, following the rising cost of living in the country.
Their submission is sequel to unpredictable increases in prices of food items and other general services.
Virtually all aspects of the nation’s economy are witnessing unpredictability, as prices of food items, building materials and other general goods and services have gone far beyond the reach of most nigerians.
The situation is so bad that some corporate organizations are constantly adjusting prices upward, while others are unable to fix prices, thereby making purchases and delivery of such products impossible.
Some industrial Experts blamed the ugly situation on lack of production capacity, high dependence on foreign goods, insecurity and continous fall of the naira
To them, more difficult times await Nigerians, if those in authority fail to promote policies that will encourage productivity and consumption of made in Nigeria products.
A bag of local rice that was hovering between forty and fifty thousand naira within the Christmas and new year celebrations, is now far above seventy thousand naira.
