The Independent petroleum marketers association of Nigeria IPMAN says it can no longer continue to do business under the hostile environment put in place by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Retail.
Arising from the expanded meeting of its national officers in Abuja on Wednesday, IPMAN says NNPC retail is a competitor, supplier, and regulator, a situation which the association says is threatening the businesses of its members as members are refused allocation of products arbitrarily.
IPMAN says if the situation is not resolved it could lead to another round of fuel scarcity
It also called on the federal government to call to order the Nigerian Midstream and downstream petroleum regulatory authority NMDPRA over the arbitrary increase in tariffs on its members while refusing to do the same for NNPC its competition.
