Gov Adeleke Charges NSCDC On Professionalism

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has charged the 2022 intakes of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun Command to demonstrate capacity, commitment and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Governor Adeleke gave the charge during the 2024 International Civil Defence Day and the Passing Out Parade of the 159 new intakes held at the Command Headquarters, Ido Osun.

The Governor who was represented by his Special Adviser on Security, Samuel Ojo, noted that NSCDC has emerged as a critical security organization in Nigeria and has performed creditably well in performing its core mandate.

The governor urged the newly recruited officers to uphold the rule of law, preserve peace, and safeguard the well-being of citizens of the state.

Earlier in his address, Osun NSCDC Commandant, Akintayo Adaralewa who noted that the new recruits have undergone four months of rigorous mental and physical drills, advised the them to be professional and dutiful in the discharge of their duties.

Adaralewa said the security agency will continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver on her core mandate of maintaining peace and safeguarding national assets.
