Godswill Enyinnaya scored the winner as Rivers United FC of Nigeria left it late to defeat 10-man Dreams Stars FC of Ghana and qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2023-2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
The pride of Rivers State were trailing at half time as Abdul Aziz Issa put the visitors ahead in the 40th minute.
Deputy Ucheta scored the equaliser in the 61-minute before Dream Stars FC were reduced to 10 men with nine minute into regulation period following the sending off of Seth Agyemang.
United made the extra man count as Enyinnaya scored the winner in 10 minutes of added time.
The win ensured that Rivers United finished as second in Group C with 12 points same as group leaders, Dream Stars FC who have superior goals difference.
The other fixture in Group C ended in a stalemate as Lobio earned their first point after holding Club African to a 1-all draw.
