Nigeria’s House of Representatives has tasked all security agencies in the country to swiftly rescue dozens of internally displaced persons abducted in Bama, Borno State, North-East Nigeria by Boko Haram-ISWAP terrorists.
The House resolution followed a motion of urgent public importance by Zainab Gimba representing Bama-Ngala-Kala Balge Federal Constituency of Borno State.
Gimba, in her motion, explained that the harsh economic situation in the country led the women and their children in search of firewood for domestic and commercial purposes when the unfortunate incident occurred.

She decried the high cost of food items in the IDPs camp calling on the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA to urgently put measures in place to alleviate the suffering of the Internally Displaced Persons in Bama.
