The Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has signed the proposed estimate of N134.3b for the 2021 fiscal year into law.
Ortom, who equally ratified two other bills including the 2020 supplementary budget also announced some minor changes in some ministries with the creation of an additional one.
While the economic sector takes the lead in appropriation, law and justice record the least as recurrent expenditure represents 60% while capital stands at 31%.
Closely followed by the signing into law of the 2020 supplementary bill as well as the law to make provision for the State infectious diseases prevention and management.

In November, the chief executive presented the fiscal document to the State Assembly who responded quite swiftly.
